Zap Studio (“we”, “us”) operates this website. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].
Information you send us. If you contact us by email, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us about your project.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. We use this only to run and secure the site, not to track or profile you.
Fonts. The fonts on this site are served from our own domain, so loading them does not send your information to Google or any other font provider.
Cookies and tracking. We do not set cookies, and we do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tools on this site.
Local storage on your device. Some of our demo projects (for example the Fieldnote task board) save your tasks and display preferences in your browser’s local storage so they are still there when you return. This information stays on your device. It is never sent to us, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
We use the information you send us to reply to your inquiry, to prepare quotes and, if you become a client, to deliver our services. We use technical information to operate, secure and improve the site. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, we process your information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform a contract with you, for our legitimate interests in running and securing our website and responding to inquiries, and where required to meet legal obligations. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
We use service providers to run our business, such as our email provider and our website hosting provider. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
We work with clients around the world, and our service providers may store or process information in countries other than the one where you live, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, we take steps to protect your information when it is transferred.
We keep correspondence and project-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to conduct business with you and to meet legal or accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know, delete and correct your information, and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in California law. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by law.
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new “last updated” date.
